Cranberry Rosemary Winter Solstice Cocktail
Make your holiday a little more magical with this bright, refreshing blend of bourbon, cranberry juice and rosemary simple syrup.
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 2 ounces high-quality bourbon
- optional: cranberries rolled in sugar for garnish
In a small saucepan, whisk sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved.
Turn the heat down to low. Whisk in ground cinnamon. Add sprigs of rosemary and allow them to simmer for 5-6 minutes.
Strain and pour the syrup into a clean, glass jar. Allow it to cool completely in the refrigerator.
Place the syrup and all the remaining ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Divide evenly between to martini or cocktail glasses rimmed with sugar. Garnish with sugared cranberries or sprigs of rosemary.
